Warm place (like kitchen top or windowsill)
🪴 Step-by-Step Germination Guide
1. Soak the Seeds (Optional)
Soak the seeds in warm water for 4–8 hours.
This softens the seed coat and speeds up sprouting.
2. Prepare the Soil or Tissue
Choose one of two methods:
🥥 a) Using Cocopeat or Seed-Starting Mix
Fill a small pot or tray with soft, moist cocopeat or seed mix.
Don't use garden soil (too heavy and may have pests).
Make small holes about 0.5–1 cm deep.
Place 1–2 seeds per hole. Cover lightly.
📄 b) Using Paper Towel Method
Wet a paper towel (not soaking).
Place seeds inside, fold the paper, and put it in a plastic bag or container.
Keep in a warm place.
Check daily for sprouting.
3. Keep Moist & Warm
Temperature: 22–28°C (warm is better).
Mist or water gently every day to keep moist.
Don’t let it dry out — seeds need moisture to sprout.
4. Wait for Germination
Most seeds germinate in 5–10 days.
Tomato: 5–8 days
Chilli: 7–15 days
Cucumber: 3–5 days
5. After Seeds Sprout
Move them into sunlight or under a grow light.
If using the tissue method, gently move sprouted seeds into small pots with soil.
